We just wanted to say a huge THANK YOU to everyone who participated in, and came out to, the SynesthASIA 2011 Charity Fashion Show, we could not have made the show what it was without you.  While exec is slowly recovering from the whirlwind that was SynesthASIA, we will be sure to keep you posted on when pictures/the DVD will be available, there are already some behind the scenes pictures posted in our facebook group that you can see here.

OH. MY. GOD. ITS. HERE.

That’s right. The day you’ve all been waiting for is finally here.  The SynesthASIA 2011 Charity Fashion Show takes place TONIGHT!  If you already have your ticket, good for you, you knew what was up and were smart enough to know what the hottest, chicest, most fabulous event of the year was – OUR SHOW. For those of you who are ‘maybe’ attending on facebook, or have not fully committed because you are not sure what your friends are doing tonight – BUY A TICKET BECAUSE EVERYONE WHO IS ANYONE IS GOING TO BE AT THIS SHOW!

And on that note, YOUR ABSOLUTE LAST POSSIBLE CHANCE TO BUY TICKETS IS TODAY IN BRONFMAN FROM 11AM-4PM.  After that, you’re out of luck until the door, and we can’t guarantee that there will be many tickets available at the door, SO GET THEM IN ADVANCE!

For any further ticket issues, please call Teresa, our VP Promotions for McGill who will be manning the ticket table in Bronfman ALL DAY today.  So be nice and go visit her! If you buy a ticket, it will make her day

Less than two weeks away…

That’s right.  The event you’ve been waiting for is almost upon us. The SynesthASIA 2011 Charity Fashion Show is taking place in less than two weeks! Friday, January 28th the doors will open at Telus Theatre at 9pm and the show starts at 10pm!  Get ready for an hour and a half of AMAZING fashion from established and student designers from all across Montreal (we even have an import from NYC showing for us!) Following the show we have an awesome after party planned with 2 fantastic DJs ready to spin the night away with us.

A big THANK YOU to everyone who came out to Tonic Friday night for the Pre-Party! It was so great to see everyone out supporting us, so thank you again and we hope everyone had as much fun as we did!

Over the next two weeks we will be doing a brief writeup about each of the many fabulous designers we are showcasing this year, beginning with Anomal Couture! Check back on Tuesday for the post

In other news, we have some information regarding TICKET SALES for the show! We will be updating this information as we establish more times for sales around Montreal.  All of the information can be found on the Final Show! page but we will repost the ticket sales information here today in case people miss the other page.

There is less than a week left to take advantage of the $15 PRESALE price – this discount ends Friday, January 21st at midnight, so get your tickets before then and save $3!

Wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Hello again everyone, merry Christmas, happy new year and welcome to 2011! We have been on a bit of a break due to the lovely holidays, we hope everyone enjoyed their break as much as we did, but now it is back to business.

The new year means back to school for some and back to work for others, but more importantly, it means that the date of our main event, the annual fashion show, is approaching ever closer.  We will be vigilantly updating the blog this month leading up to the show on Friday, January 28th 9PM at the Telus Theatre.  We will also be hosting some events throughout the month in order to get everyone as excited for the show as we are, so stay tuned for more details.

Friday, November 12 we present to you SYN BEAUTY BAR – a wonderful place to get a 10 minute manicure (yes, that’s right, they do exist) or a fabulous Henna tattoo for $5 each ($8 for both a manicure and tattoo) and escape the madness and stress that is McGill in November.

Here is something to put you in the beauty bar mood – I mean, who doesn’t love Grease?

From 12-4PM at GERTS BAR (basement of SSMU [3600 McTavish Street] at McGill University) come get a manicure, peruse the VINTAGE CLOTHING SALE and $1 Grab Bin for second-hand gems or pick up some glamorous fake eyelashes from the amazing Tina Chu.

We will also be selling RAFFLE tickets with amazing prizes such as a gift certificate to ROUGE Nail Bar for a Manicure/Pedicure + OPI nail polish of your choice ($90 value), 2 tickets to a Montreal Canadiens hockey game, an iPod nano and many more!  Winners will be announced at the Cast Party that night, so make sure you come out to Tonic! On a side note, we had our Model/Dancer Orientation today and it went SO WELL!  Thank you so much to everyone who came out today, we are so excited for the show this year, it’s going to be amazing.  Speaking of , we have an official date and venue for the show!  It will be on FRIDAY, JANUARY 28, 2011 at TELUS THEATRE [1280 rue St. Denis]
