Still Looking – Fashion and Dance Choreographers

Choreography is the art of designing sequences of movements in which motion, form, or both are specified. Choreography may also refer to the design itself, which is sometimes expressed by means of dance notation. The word choreography literally means “dance-writing” from the Greek words “χορεία” (circular dance, see choreia) and “γραφή” (writing). A choreographer is one who creates choreographies. Choreography is the backbone for SynesthASIA’s success as a show, and we want YOU to be a part of it!

We have decided to extend our deadline for choreography applications until  this Sunday, October 17 to allow those that missed the first deadline to apply, so if you are interested in choreographing a fashion scene for the show, or becoming the head dance choreographer, please download the application form here and email the completed form to choreography@synesthasia.org by midnight Sunday!

Where have all the pretty people gone?

Yep, it’s that time of year again.  The leaves are changing, turkey dinners abound, and SynesthASIA 2011 Model/Dancer Auditions are next week! That’s right, starting next Tuesday, October 19 we are holding auditions at Tonic Nightclub (2313 St. Catherine West) on St. Catherine’s and Atwater [metro station: Atwater].

Ladies, please don’t forget to bring HEELS and your fiercest walk, and for the men out there, we want to see some swagger! No experience necessary, just come out and walk for us!  P.S. Exec is mostly female this year, so boys you might want to capitalize on this

Auditions for models will run on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday of next week (October 19-21) from 7-9 PM

Dancer auditions will be held on Wednesday and Thursday (October 20 & 21) at the same time as the model auditions (7-9PM).  Dress comfortably as you will be learning choreography and showing off your skills to our head dance choreographer.
